SmartArt in Microsoft Office 2007 Products
|
SmartArt is a new creative tool available in all of the Office 2007 products which allows you to insert and edit some advanced illustrated objects such as organizational charts, diagrams, and flowcharts to a simple graphical list and process. This tool allows you to create dynamic graphics as a visual representation of your information. Smart Art graphics are organized into seven categories including: List, Process, Cycle, Hierarchy, Relationship, Matrix and Pyramid. Many different layouts and styles are available to suit the needs of your spreadsheets, documents, presentations, and even e-mail.

When you insert a Smart Art graphic in your work, a placeholder text will appear. The idea is to replace this text with your own, but if you choose not to, the placeholder text is not printed, although the shapes are always displayed and printed. According to your particular requirements, you can add, remove, edit, format, color, and rearrange the graphical shapes contained within the Smart Art.
